A free, branded sweepstake tool for UK charities

Most charities we've spoken to already give supporters a "guess my finish time" PDF to print and share with friends and family. It works, but it lives on paper. People text photos of their guesses around a WhatsApp group, someone tries to tally them in a spreadsheet, and donations end up split across whoever remembered to chase them.

Guess My Time is the free digital version of that template. Your supporter sets up a sweepstake in about ninety seconds, shares one short link, and their network submits guesses on a single web page. Donations flow directly to the supporter's existing JustGiving, Enthuse, or GoFundMe page — never to us.

What we're offering founding partner charities

A free, charity-branded version of the sweepstake page for the first cohort of UK charities we work with. Specifically:

  • Your logo and accent colour rendered on every sweepstake a supporter creates under your charity.
  • A short charity-branded link your fundraising team can include in emails, on your existing PDF, or in your supporter portal.
  • Free during 2026 — no setup fee, no per-sweepstake cost, no revenue share.

In exchange, all we ask is a short conversation about what your supporters need and the chance to point to your charity when we describe who uses Guess My Time.

How we plan to keep the lights on

We're inviting the first 25 UK charities to come on board as founding partners. Founding partners get:

  • The full branded experience free during the 2026 founding window.
  • 40% off list price for life when the paid tier opens to new joiners in late 2026 — locked in, no surprise rises.
  • Plenty of notice before anything changes about how the product is run.

Once the 25 founding-partner places are gone, charities joining after that move to standard list pricing. We'll confirm those list prices nearer the time; comparable UK charity tools run from a couple of hundred pounds a year up.

That's the whole business model. We don't take a cut of donations, we don't sell data, and we don't run ads. The paid tier for later joiners is how Guess My Time stays free for individual fundraisers indefinitely.

How a supporter uses it

  1. They follow your branded link from your fundraising materials.
  2. They create a sweepstake for their event — usually a sponsored walk, run, ride, or marathon.
  3. They paste in the link to their JustGiving / Enthuse / GoFundMe page.
  4. They share the short link with their network.
  5. After the event, they publish their actual finish time. Closest guess wins — bragging rights, or a small prize at the supporter's discretion.

The whole flow is free to enter for anyone guessing. A suggested donation amount is suggested, never required to take part. That keeps it a free prize draw rather than a regulated lottery.

Where the money goes

Donations go straight from the giver to the fundraising page your supporter already uses. We don't process payments. We don't hold a balance. We don't take a percentage. There is no point in the flow where Guess My Time touches a donation, which is also why we aren't FCA-regulated — we have nothing to regulate.

If your charity's policy is to recommend specific donation platforms, that's still your call. We link out to whatever the supporter pastes in.

Data, GDPR, safeguarding

The minimum that makes the product work:

  • Organisers (your supporters) give us a name and email so they can manage their own sweepstake.
  • Guessers give a display name and a time guess. Email is optional and used only if the organiser chooses to notify them when results are published.
  • We don't ask for date of birth, address, or payment details. We never see card data.
  • We don't sell, share, or rent data to third parties. We don't run ad networks on the site.
  • Hosting is on infrastructure operated by Webhooks Ltd. A full privacy notice is linked from every sweepstake page and covers data location, retention, and our deletion SLA.

If your safeguarding team needs a written summary for due diligence, ask and we'll send one.

What we don't do

We're deliberately narrow. We don't run live leaderboards during the event, we don't handle prize fulfilment, we don't sync with your CRM, and we aren't a JustGiving plugin. We do one thing — closest-guess sweepstakes on finish times — and we try to do it well enough that your fundraising team can recommend it without worrying about it.

Why this exists

Guess My Time was built by Mark Rawson at Webhooks Ltd after a family member walked for Alzheimer's Society and couldn't find a working digital version of the old guessmytime.org tool. The cause is personal in our family — dementia has touched it directly — which is why the priority is making the tool genuinely useful to charities rather than monetising it quickly.

Talk to us

If you'd like to see what a charity-branded sweepstake page would look like for your supporters, email Mark and we'll set up a short call. No deck, no sales process — a working preview and an honest conversation about whether it fits.
